International Service at Manchester Trailblazers

At Manchester Trailblazers we have made it one of our service goals this Rotary year to support the Philippine Community Fund in their work to end child labour and poverty for children in The Philippines.  To find out more about the PCF, see their website, www.p-c-f.org. One of their projects is to help the people by helping them to make jewellery and accessories from drinks can ring-pulls, which can then be sold to make an income for Filipino people.

Our international Service Chair, Sheila Bolter, has requested that we save up ring-pulls from drinks cans, which can then be sent to support people in the Philippines.  You could even buy back your old ring-pulls as a bracelet, purse or even a coaster.

To help with collections, Trailblazers have made this attractive box that you can save your ring-pulls in.  The boxes are easy to assemble, with no gluing needed, just some good cutting and folding skills.  If you could like one to start saving ring-pulls of your own in, just let us know and we can send you one.   Alternatively you can download a copy of the box template and print it onto A3 Card for yourself.  Just cut it out and fit it together and get saving your ring-pulls.

We would like to save up as many ring pulls as we possibly can, to send to the PCF and you can help us with that.  If you would like more information about this and any of Trailblazers' other projects, or about the work we do and how you can become a part of it in Manchester and the wider world, get in touch.  Together we can make a difference for children and families in the Philippines.

Contact us through our Enquiries form and one of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.
