Last August members of our Club took part in a 100,000 meal packing event organised by the Rotary Club of Warrington. These meals were heading to Kenya to help in the STOP HUNGER NOW (now RISE AGAINST HUNGER) program where children receive meals at school to improve both health and education. In late January these meals arrived along with Rotarians Irene and Eric Russell.

Last August our club was involved in the 100,000 meal packing event

Over 2 days teams of 6 worked together
to pack ingredients into meal bags which were then sealed and stored in boxes.

These boxes were destined for Kenya in a program run by
Rise Against Hunger where meals are provided for children who attend school.

Recently Rotarians Eric and Irene Russell from the Rotary Club
of Warrington went to Kibera, Kenya to see the impact of the program.
They found that without the meals, school attendance had halved.
Luckily with the meals arriving attendance began to increase.

We hope that these meals continue to bring smiles to the children across
the world as we stop hunger worldwide and nurture their education

Thank you to those who sponsored our costs for ingredients and the
volunteers who helped pack the meals.
We couldn't have done it without your help.

This year there will be another meal packing event at the Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland Conference in our hometown of Manchester. If you would like to be a sponsor and get involved please let us know at
